COME ARRIVARE,
COME MUOVERSI

Malta International Airport

The main arrival gate for tourists is the Malta International Airport in Luqa. The airport offers flights to all main European hubs in most cases in a flight time of less than 3 hours. Awarded by the Airports Council International as the best European airport in 2011 in its category, the Malta International Airport offers all services for you to start/end your holiday in Malta comfortably. Here you can find the Arrivals/Departures timetables from the website of the Malta International Airport.

Malta Seaport

Being an island, Malta is also linked to mainland Europe by sea. Several companies offer services to and from Europe (mainly Italy) by ferry, such as Virtu Ferries who link Malta to Sicily in 90 minutes by high speed catamaran.

Transport to/from the airport/seaport

The Malta International Airport is easy accessible by public buses. A range of buses of the newly established Arriva fleet transport tourists to the main tourism centres of the island. Moreover, private companies offer their taxi services in the arrival hall of the airport. If you prefer a stress free airport transfer, we would be happy to organize it for you. We will provide a door-to-door service from the airport to your accommodation and vice versa. Transfers can be booked here.

Public Transport in Malta

In 2011, the London based company Arriva took over the public transportation in Malta and the old yellow colored buses were replaced by a modern fleet of green vehicles. The new air-conditioned buses operate between all centers in Malta, with Valletta as a central place of operations. Buses to Valletta depart from every village in Malta. In Gozo, the city of Victoria is the central hub of public transport operations. Detailed route information and prices can be found here.

Car Rental in Malta

Many tourists prefer to be more flexible and tend to rent a car. There are several car rentals in Malta which offer good cars. There are a couple of car rentals located at Malta International Airport as well as in the main tourism centres of the island. Although, it might be a challenge for tourists from the European mainland to get used to the left-hand sided traffic, it gives the possibilitie to enjoy the beautiful and unspoilt Maltese countryside on your own pace. If you would like to rent a car in Malta, please send us a request. We would be happy to cater your needs.
